1. How is this Plan different?

It’s a travel Protection Plan designed by experts who worked in the resort business to cover the broad needs of the resort vacation experience. We know the benefits that will actually enhance your vacation experience. And, as with all VacationGuard® programs, we don’t rate by age, or by person…just by total trip cost. It’s fast and easy.

2. What are some covered benefits that may help me while on vacation?

The plan responds to an extensive array of perils for Cancellation, Interruption medical and travel assistance. We combine all these benefits into one affordable program, giving you ease of choice to obtain vacation peace of mind quickly and affordably! We also include:

a. Weather Interruption including delay to your destination due to a closed roadway from increment weather
b. Recreational Equipment Delay, so you can rent equipment and play, until your own equipment arrives
c. Trip Delay benefits without a daily sublimit, giving you reasonable, additional accommodations and traveling expenses.
d. Property damage to the unit you rent
e. Vehicle return coverage if you are hospitalized due to a medical emergency
f. Specialized benefits for Resort based trips, like skiing and golfing.

3. Do you cover hurricanes, wildfires, and other natural disasters that can affect my trip?

Covering the unpredictability of weather disasters gives you real peace of mind. In addition, if these disasters occur during your trip, where mandatory evacuation is required, we even extend a sub-limit for mid-week trip delay benefits to cover your room and meal expenses during the relocation.

4. Is it true VacationGuard includes coverage that allows me to decline a Security Damage waiver plan I might be asked to pay?

Yes! VacationGuard® programs are the only ones that include property damage to the unit within one comprehensive form. That means we will reimburse you up to the limit we provide under our Property Damage benefit, for accidental and unintentional direct physical damage to Covered Real or Personal Property within the rental unit you’re using, and, it’s pet friendly coverage.

5. Am I covered worldwide?

Yes. Provided you are a U.S. resident, you may purchase this plan, which will follow you world-wide.

6. There is no per-person rate, or age rating to buy?

Correct. It’s one of the value-added benefits VacationGuard® can offer. Our travel protection fee is based off the Total Trip Cost of your trip.

7. What is “Total Trip Cost”, that is used to get my rate?

It is the total of your pre-paid, non-refundable, trip expenses, including taxes and fees, which you paid for the trip.

8. Can I buy this plan after my final payment to for my trip?

Unfortunately, you can only gain our value-added benefits, and the ease of purchase, by purchasing before your final payment on a trip.

9. When is the ideal time to purchase travel insurance?

We recommend you purchase travel insurance on the day of your Initial trip deposit. Not only does it extend certain valuable benefits relating to medical exclusion waiver, but it allows you to protect your trip against unpredictability for the longest window possible, for the same money.
